National Psoriasis Foundation
Event collateral and children’s program mascot and collateral for leading national organization for psoriasis research, education and support

My Dad has been a tireless advocate for the National Psoriasis Foundation ever since he discovered his condition and their ability to help provide the information he needed for treatment. I also have psoriasis, and wanted to do something to help the Foundation beyond participating in the awareness walks each year. So I approached them with a few ideas to help improve their visual system, from brand graphics to an expanded color palette to a mascot.
As it turned out, the Foundation had been thinking about creating a character to support current and prospective members of their youth program, Our Spot. Working with the Foundation’s education and communication team — as well as the youth group — I developed a leopard mascot that would grow along with the children into their teen years. A simplified mascot became the focal point of an activity workbook and sticker sheet I designed for the welcome kit, which launched in 2022 at an NPF conference in Chicago.
